My experience: Autoscreenz Headlight Restoration Testimonial:
Last week a guy approached me in the Parking lot at the mall and offered to polish my headlight lenses.
He was quite cheap offering to do the job for only R200 per light. I thought what the hell, it can't look any worse than it does. If anything it may just look better... I'll give it a try. Big mistake! I was greatly disappointed as the guy was sanding down my lights with sandpaper and after asking him why, he replied that it would remove the yellow from the lights. I wasn't too concerned as I had seen something similar on Youtube while he was busy. The only difference was that they used machines.
After about 20 minutes, he started to "shine" the lights with a special chemical. Told me not to touch it till it dries.
When I got home, I noticed that the chemical looked as though it ran down onto the bumper. I touched the liquid n the bumper and smelled it. Turns out it was nothing more than fish oil or something oily. It was never going to get dry. After washing it all off, the lights looked so much worse than before.
Now my money was gone and my lights looked worse than ever!
A friend recommended I look online and a Google search led me to Autoscreenz in Booysens ,JHB.
I called and asked if they could help.
They asked me to send a pic of the lights to see if they could assist and within 3 hours, my headlights were looking like new again!
